Mixing and Mastering Services

Give your music clarity, balance and impact

Recording captures the performances. Mixing turns those recordings into a finished piece of music. Mastering provides the final technical and tonal preparation for release.

Big Cloud Productions offers professional mixing and mastering for artists, musicians, producers and songwriters working in Liverpool and remotely.

We Offer…

Professional Mixing

Mixing brings the individual elements of a recording together into a coherent finished track.

Depending on the project, this can include:

  • Track organisation and session preparation
  • Level and tonal balancing
  • Equalisation and dynamics processing
  • Vocal treatment and placement
  • Panning and stereo imaging
  • Reverb, delay and spatial processing
  • Automation and arrangement enhancement
  • Phase, polarity and timing checks
  • Mix-bus processing
  • Preparation of alternative versions and stems

The objective is not simply to make the track louder. It is to make every important element work together while supporting the style, performance and emotional direction of the music.

Professional Mastering

Mastering is the final stage before distribution or release.

It can include:

  • Final tonal and dynamic adjustment
  • Stereo image and mono-compatibility checks
  • Loudness and true-peak management
  • Technical quality control
  • Consistency across an EP or album
  • Preparation for streaming and digital distribution
  • Delivery in the required file formats

Mastering cannot completely repair a fundamentally unsuitable mix. Where significant mix changes are needed, this will be explained before mastering begins.

Remote Mixing and Mastering

Files can be sent securely from anywhere. Before work begins, you will receive guidance on exporting and organising the audio correctly.

A rough mix and relevant reference tracks are useful because they show the intended balance, style and direction.

The Process

1. Submit Your Music

Provide a rough mix, exported tracks or stems, project information and reference material.

2. Technical Review

The files are checked before the job is confirmed. Any missing files, clipping or technical problems are identified at this stage.

3. First Version

The initial mix or master is supplied for focused feedback.

4. Revisions

The agreed revisions are completed using one consolidated set of feedback for each revision round.

5. Final Delivery

The approved files are supplied in the agreed formats. Instrumental, clean, performance or alternative versions can also be requested.
